Google Sites Troubleshooting
From time to time, users experience difficulties with editing their Sites. This article lists some troubleshooting steps that may help resolve such issues.
Editing / Publishing Error messages
Try these things first checking to see if your issue has been fixed after each one before moving on to the next:
Unpublish then republish your Site
If the problem is on a specific page (or pages) try duplicating the page (or pages) and see if the issue persists on the duplicate(s). If not then delete the original(s)
Try duplicating the entire Site and see if the issue persists in the copy of the Site
General Issues
Try:
Clearing the cache and cookies in your web browser. (your computer may have cached something faulty and clearing your cookies and cache will force your computer to download a corrected copy)

Accessing the settings and try resetting? Reset browser settings (Chrome)
Using in an incognito window? (Chrome)
Using Chrome with all extensions and plugins disabled?
Using a different web browser?
If it works in incognito mode this indicates that you have an extension that is causing the problem. It may be an ad blocker or another extension. The Grammarly extension has often been the culprit.
A problem may also occur on systems with an outdated version of Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP). See:
